  • Wicked Play Review and Ticket Sale Info

Before Dorothy went “off to see the wizard,” clicked her ruby slippers three times or followed the yellow brick road, there was another girl in Oz. A wickedly green girl with a determined nature, who would grow up to be the dreaded Wicked Witch of the West.Despite her name, in the beginning the Wicked Witch was anything but, and the renowned musical “Wicked,” strives to set the story straight. Opening with the well-known death of the Wicked Witch, this play depicts the lack of emotion felt by the citizens of Oz.Then somebody asks Glinda, the Good Witch of the East, the crucial question. “Is it true that you were her friend?” Suddenly, in a swirl of music, colourful costumes and comedic lines, the audience is transported back in time to the teenaged years of both witches. The same can not be said for Chicago’s Fiyero, Kristoffer Cusick. I enjoyed his acting, his character was fun, but his singing voice wasn’t strong enough, in my opinion. The beautiful duet between Fiyero and Elpheba was less effective because of his weak vocals. And then there was Annaleigh Ashford, Chicago’s Glinda. It pains me to say this, but I think I liked her better than Kristin Chenoweth! Elphaba on tour had the ABSOLUTE BEST voice I’ve ever heard!! she literally had me shaking because her voice was amazing… especially in defying gravity! I have been to several broadway plays and never experienced anything like that!!!! Elphaba was soo outstanding! This show was great. I can say that a LOT of money was put into this show in terms of the overall production! Every detail was thought through, the songs were very catchy and the plot was great. The music in Wicked is fantastic! Overall an amazing show! This show is the best on broadway! I saw it a week ago and I just got tickets for it again. It’s something that you would want to see over and over again. And thats what I am planning to do. The music is the best I’ve heard on broadway. MUST SEE!Fantastic cast and theatrical eye candy, but the story was weak and cheap. What do I mean by cheap? Well it is exccedingly easy to take just about any classic story line about good and evil and write a knock-off making the good characters into pompous schleps and the evil characters into mis-understood heroes. Everyone seems to be doing it and audiences numbly suck it up like a twister on trailer park. I am dying for an original story line.Wow. I’ve been mostly into heavy metal and rock music all my life and know absolutelly nothing about musicals. My wife pulled me into this; I was originally a little taken aback by the ticket prices but it was well worth it. This whole deal blew me away. The voices of the leads were all amazing; these people really have talent. My favorite song was defying gravity. I bought the CD and now I’m reading the book. I’m thinking of painting my face green and grab a broom… More about Wicked and other play tickets:find wicked ticketswicked tickets in lathe wicked ticketswicked tickets californiawicked tickets combest tickets for wickedcost of wicked ticketswhere to buy wicked tickets
